Agreed, I've always said, the X-Men, with its bigger cast of characters and stories, would work better as a TV series. Giving it more time to develop the themes. Budget would always be the problem with super heroes though. Storm could chew up a whole seasons budget with one, storm.
Really loving the team work too though. Really hope this Eclipse side story with the drug cartel goes no where though.
i almost want to agree with you that the son is annoying as fuck but then i remember, he is what, 14-15 years old. of course hes an annoying fuck, good acting

I never thought of it that way, certainly helps.

Character wise? Polaris, Warpath, Blink, Eclipse, Dreamer, Sage and more unnamed mutants. Sentinels are men, not machines, a security company called Sentinel Services. No big name Xmen, which is great. If you're asking about actors, I don't recognize any of them.

Sorry. I did mean characters.
The only ones I’m familiar with are Polaris and Thunderbird.

thunderbird is his brother. itll be interesting to see if they touch on that. sage has gone through several names but is most notable for working as sebastain shaws right hand (in the comics). dreamer the only similar character i can think of is beautiful dreamer/annalee. blink was part of the phalanax story line but died quickly but was used in Age of Apocalypse which everyone loved her for. eclipse seems to be a new character although to mee powers and background seem to be pulled from beserker and skin. powers beserker to some extent and skins background of being a east LA gang member who did bad things before he became a mutant

I am not enjoying Eclipse (the character) or his side journey into the drug cartel business at all? It seems like such a pointless distraction from an other wise good show so far.
Kinda hope they keep Thunderbird and Blink together on a more traditional X-men style team, while Polaris and the more radical mutants head off in a more, Brotherhood type team.

right? I love that most of these episodes build up to a cliff hanger ending. real slow builds with a finish that makes ya want to watch the next episode.
I hope the Dreamer (red head chick) is either dead, or turned into a hound, shes one character i really cant stand.

The Gifted got picked up for a 2nd season by Fox. I'd assuming, since you do have some of Marvels people already involved with the shows production, that the Marvel/Disney are on board as well (for when the buy out actually happens). Either way looks like Fox is going forward with a 2nd season incase it does not happen.
Love that the season finale is going to be 2 hours.
