The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
We started the wife's Marvel catch-up project with The Avengers. She liked it. She was really impressed with the VFX (which are incredible; this movie is almost a decade old and looks sharp and fresh and modern) and especially with how well the New York battle was shot. She had a couple of questions about origin stuff but was able to follow without any major issues.
She liked it enough that we're going to add some other movies and not do just The Avengers movies. She wants to check out Captain America: The Winter Soldier next. She's also interested in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. So we'll see how this goes. I'm excited because I've not seen Guardians 2 or Avengers 2. So that'll be fun to fill in those gaps.
We're deciding on whether or not to do the Ant-Man movies just because we both love the two leads. Still haven't decided on those. I haven't seen them either so it could be fun.

If you really want to bring everything full circle when you’ve completed them, she should see the first CA movie, too. Plus, it’s a cracking good yarn.
I actually finished my re-watch over the weekend with Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame. I swear, those never get old.

Yeah I'm excited to get to Ragnarok. I love that movie and can't wait to see it again.
Guardians was worse than I remembered. Not bad, per se, but certainly not the creative oddity that I remembered. I kept wanting it to be weirder and funnier.

Winter Soldier is amongst the best Marvel has produced. The Russo brothers really got it when it comes to presenting the characters.
GotG is considered y some as amongst the best as well. I don’t feel that way, tho. I enjoyed the hell out of it but it didn’t hit me like it did others.

Sounds like they should have the Russo Brothers work on Black Widow. Most the reviews seem to think it could have been a really great, emotional movie if they didn't keep breaking up the heavy moments with Marvel quips.

The wife was disappointed with GotG. Coming off of Winter Soldier, she was expecting something different. She liked Winter Soldier a lot more. She said she wants to see GotG 2 but I think we're gonna do something else first. She's curious about Captain Marvel so I think we'll do that one next and then G2 and Avengers 2.
I know most people aren't big on Captain Marvel but I love it and I think she's going to really enjoy it, too.

Captain Marvel is great. Alison Brie is just so…. I absolutely adore when Peter Parker introduces himself to her in Endgame and she says “Hi, Peter Parker” with THAT little look. I just melt.
Do it next. Then a fantastic run of Civil War, Homecoming, Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame.
G2 isn’t really necessary and is basically the first redux. A2 is alright and introduces Wanda, Vision and Quicksilver (and Cap almost picking up Mjolnir) but it really isn’t necessary, either.

She enjoyed Wandavision when we watched it (that's kinda what started this whole thing) so she's excited to see anything Wanda is in. That and the fact that A2 is one of the ones I haven't seen makes us both interested in seeing it.
But I'll tell her G2 isn't anything special and maybe we'll revise and skip that one.

Ok. Start the run I posted with A2 and then follow it.
I still say watch the first CA as well. Maybe even after Endgame.
