Thanks wease. I actually think I've seen all of those except for the Captain America and Thor installments.
Is it safe to compare this whole MCU thing to walking into a comic book store and picking up a random title? Obviously a lot of it ties together, but are these films also designed to stand alone?

GotG does. (You could also watch the sequel as it does introduce a couple other team members, but I’m not sure it’s essential before Infinity War/Endgame)
Winter Soldier kind of can, but other stuff builds off it. It’s one of the best Marvel movies period, tho. They wanted it to be like a 70s spy thriller and it really does come across as such.
Civil War explains why stuff happens that would cause some major head scratching if you went into Infinity War cold.
Ragnarok basically takes place immediately before Infinity War and indeed, leads directly into it.
Most of the Marvel movies are designed to be enjoyed as a single movie but a LOT of stuff ties into other stuff. It’s one reason why I enjoy most of it. It feels like the comics I grew up reading.
