Spoiler: show
all the stuff in the Oasis was really fun. the big scenes were a blast, with the race, the Shining sequence, and Parcival's first date with Artemis being the highlights for me.

all the stuff in reality was pretty awful.

Could not disagree more. It’s fantastic and nothing about it feels lazy or unengaged.

it was neither lazy nor unengaged. nor was it exciting, suspenseful, prescient, or even particularly informative

Hi my name is mcparadigm let me spend 25 full minutes of my movie expositilaining every little detail about where and when so you don’t actually have to think or feel. that over there is a planet called We’re Never Going to Talk About That Planet Again. Funny name for a planet, isn’t it? Anyway

This movie had a pretty even mix of fun qualities and terrible ones. The acting was really good, though, and mostly people were trying. Mark Rylance gave it a heart and soul that it never really earned, and bless him for that.

Did you thought this one was another Star Wars story type of movie? Were you waiting for the obligatory cameo of C3PO and R2D2? Were you mad because they mention the flacon but they didnt show it?
