Funny you mention that. This other forum I'm on people are tearing it apart not knowing the book or the premise and just saying it's an episode of Big Bang theory on speed.

I just bought the book a couple weeks ago based on a recommendation, i haven't started it yet but i generally find most authors to be disappointing in their style, even when the story itself is decent. Now i have to read it just to see if it's trash or not.
on a side note, i couldn't even make it through the first game of thrones book, george rr martin is NOT a good writer

Yeah, Martin is a good writer, not the best by any means, but his world building and diverse characters are top notch.

Yeah, Martin is a good writer, not the best by any means, but his world building and diverse characters are top notch.
sorry, disagree. I find him dull and plodding in the detail he injects. his stories are fine but i can do without the extended minutiae

It's kinda possible browse reading the books. You get one. Read it. Then wait three years and have to read it again before the new one. I lost interest
