OR - and full disclosure, I know that guy - he's talking about the movie which certainly looks like what he's referring to. I finished the book last Thursday, it does not include a giant car race a la Death Race 2000.
Does that mean it can’t include it? It’s an hysterical position to take without having seen the film.
But I get the impression the author of that tweet is talking out of his/her ass and hasn’t done their research.
I want to see this less with every single piece of promo material that I see. However, I do love and feel inspired by the idea/theme/images of young people fighting back and changing things. Super cool.

Yeah, I...don’t know if that’s the theme.
Probably not. I haven't read it or seen the movie yet. That's why I "/" a bunch of stuff. To cover my bases.

Guys, this is really good. Like, loads of fun.
Got tickets to a free screening this morning so my brother and I just saw the thing. Spielberg is a genius, and everyone should just sit back and enjoy this. The film doesn't hit you over the head with all it's references to pop culture and past movies. Things are just there for you to spot, but it's all done really well.
I think I might see this again. The leads are all really good, too.
