Excellent episode tonight. Big emotional swing that completely diverged from the game and it paid off so well. And hey look at Ron Swanson, a real actor it turns out

Great stuff. Loved it…
…but…
…this further underlines the point that deviating from the X’s and O’s of the game is when the show’s been at its strongest. That has me a little cynical about whether the show can give us sustained greatness on an ongoing basis. Don’t get me wrong; the first two episodes were very good, but I want more than just very good.

Brilliant casting choice. The depiction of adults finding themselves in the midst of all of this and ultimately deciding 'love is enough' was unexpected and beautiful.
