Pearl Jam to be annouced as headliner in Rock in Rio Brazil - sept 2026:

One of the most popular international rock bands, Pearl Jam will be in the lineup for this year's Rock in Rio, a festival created by businessman Roberto Medina. This will be the group's first participation in the major Rio de Janeiro event.

Pearl Jam is an American grunge rock band, formed in 1990 in Seattle, Washington. The group has sold over 60 million albums worldwide.

The first names confirmed for the September edition of Rock in Rio, which takes place at the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro, were British singer Elton John and Brazilian Gilberto Gil, who will perform on the World Stage on the 7th.

Im guessing they will announce the new drummer along with the tour. I can see them playing SA in september yeah and announcing that in maybe march?

I heard through the grapevine that our very own tree_ has been warming up on the drums for something big. Sources suggest the band's main criteria was that their new drummer be better than Chad Smith, so who knows.

Foo Fighters were still announcing shows without a drummer, if I remember correctly.
