The sentiment and ideas in MFS are solid, but this is one of Eddie's weakest studio set of lyrics (maybe only Got Some is below it in songs that aren't meant to be light and disposable). And the Lightning Bolt cleanliness strips it of the menace that's there in the admittedly pretty cool music.

But I love Future Days. It's not a burning love, but I should just stop pretending that we're only in like. It may be because of the associations it has with my second daughter, but it doesn't change how i feel
