I'm always a little confused that this album didn't get more appreciation. It's a little gem.
I can't put my finger on why, but this album pales in comparison to the Wiltern show in 2002. Something about those performances really grabbed me, but this record falls flat and doesn't lend itself to repeated listens.

It's the stupid fucking breathiness. It's like he's trying to pour on the drama, when his normal '02 voice worked just fine.

I like it as a whole but rarely listen to it any more. 40 minutes of ukulele gets pretty repetitive if you're not hanging out on a summer day. Trag has a point too; Ed over does the breathiness at times. Without You is still a favorite Ed song though.

I like it...i even have it on vinyl...never ever listened to it though...basically, i know these songs from before he record them and release them on this one...and those demos or whatever were better i guess.
I dont know..never cared much for this one, but it is a cool experiment.

I think this is really great when you are in the right mood for it. I always enjoyed this version of Can’t Keep (not better than the full band version which I love), Tonight You Belong to Me, Sleepless Nights, You’re True, Longing to Belong, and Satellite. I would agree if you are not in the headspace for 40 minutes of ukulele that it can get cloying fast, and I don’t think it quite measures up to the Into the Wild soundtrack.

listening to this for the first time in years
I love it! but I'm so frustrated that Pearl Jam decided to do a full band version of "Sleeping By Myself" (already great as it was) and not "Without You"; I can hear a great, heavy PJ version of that in my head
