Q: Speaking of which - when can we expect the new Pearl Jam album?
A: Your guess is as good as mine. I haven't been in a studio with those guys in about 3 years. We record all of our parts separately and compose via email.
Sigh
Jesus. I'm hoping this isn't how they write music for albums, though it would explain the last two albums.
Lump is fucking with you.
Damn, maybe I should actually listen to this podcast.
I mean, i haven't listened so maybe Lump is being truthful but this is kind of his gimmick.

Oh my goodness, I just burst out laughing... but this is actually quite sad!

yeah i listened to the whole thing – it's a classic Lump move

First song is "The Noise The Noise." I like this one waaaay more than Safe In the Car. Lots of 80s no wave influences, and Jeff's vox are pushed back a bit.

Now he's playing a solo live version of Peter Gabriel's Here Comes the Flood. The Gabriel influence was all over the last RNDM album, seems like he's continuing down that path.

PJ's pledging a "minimum of $1M" to the Seattle homeless problem. I'll certainly gripe about the next album when I'm inevitably disappointed, but whatever, if they sell a bunch of tix it's worth another Lightning Bolt if that's what the Jamily craves.
