The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Don't see a thread here but there's probably a good one in the archives. As I rank, I ask myself why I've never sought out more from Bradford Cox and Co. One of my favorite bands from the last 15 years, hands down.

I've never listened to Deerhunter.
If you liked the reverb and echo of Psychocandy, the layered detuned guitar interplay of Daydream Nation and the whispery melodic voice of Wakin' on a Pretty Daze, this band may be for you.

Microcastle is my favorite album of theirs, but Halcyon Digest is also very solid. Easily their two best albums. I've had Microcastle in heavy rotation since its release.

I've always had a big thing for Cryptograms. It's the most raw thing they've done, and I think that sound works well for them. However, Halycon Digest is the clear winner for overall listening experience front to back. It's short and to the point while hitting all sorts of different sounds and moods.

They were in hills They were in factories They are in graves now
They were in debt to themselves And what is it made of now?
I go around and feel how it fades I walk around and I see what's fading Walk around and you'll see how it fades Walk around and you'll see what's faded

This song is really doing it for me, the more and more I listen.
