Coming off of how great Chemtrails was, those songs felt like throwaways to a degree. Maybe a full album context will change that. But this song feels vital. It's not so much a change in sound or style or anything like that. Just a small shift in songwriting and investment. |

It had two different early release dates and two different titles, I think. First it was "Rock Candy" to be released on June 1st. Then it was "Blue Banisters" to be released July 4th. |

I need to listen to it more, I think. But lyrically content isn't really a priority for me. But I totally get how that could be something that drops the song for you. |

Is there a more quintessential LDR song than Brooklyn Baby? I've been playing it...a lot. Wikipedia wrote: Del Rey said that she wrote the song with Lou Reed in mind.
