The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Also, as a side note... the more I think about that "blind post" I can't tell if I think it is someone with inside, intimate knowledge, or a piece of really bad fan-fic... It could honestly go either way.
Fucking Joe Walsh is there, but no one from PJ/TOTD outside of Matt shows up? WTF?

Also it looks like they had security making sure only invited guests were allowed in. And based on Chris' MIL's Tweets, I don't think Eddie would be on there (just my guess though).

Welp, I've retired the "bring back Dave A." signature. Love the man, but Matt belongs with PJ now.
RIP Chris Cornell

stone would fly to alaska at the drop of a hat to give cpr to an ailing salmon, but he can't go to a long time friend's funeral?
The closer you are or become to someone, the bigger the chance that some kind of baggage could develop over time. The fact that three members of PJ didn't attend (including Mike, who wrote a tribute shortly after he died) leads me to believe there's more to this that we don't know.

Anyway, I read this story about Chris just now and had a good LOL:
Quote:
For decades, the late Chris Cornell was good friends with another iconic Seattle classic-rock howler, Heart’s Ann Wilson. Wilson and her sister and bandmate Nancy were friends with many of the young bands on the early-’90s Seattle scene, and after Cornell’s death, she honored him by covering “Black Hole Sun” on Kimmel. And Wilson also recently spoke to Rolling Stone about her memories of Cornell, sharing, among other things, a great story about the time Cornell showed up to her Halloween party wearing a “Black Hole Sun” costume. Here’s what she says:
I used to have a themed Halloween party every year and I remembered one time, the theme was to come dressed as your favorite song. Chris came as “Black Hole Sun.” He arrived wearing these huge platform boots that made him like, 6’3″, and wore this huge yellow costume with papier-mâché around his head as the sun. His face was completely blacked out. He had a great sense of humor. But it was just after the song came out, when [Soundgarden] was just experiencing the first real tremors of what it was like to be famous.
If the stupid motherfucker working at the hotel would have listened to Cornell's security guard and just gave him the fucking keys instead of acting like a fuckhead.....maybe his security guard would have been able to see Chris in time before it happened. FUCKING ASSHOLE SHMUCH HOTEL FUCKING IDIOT, you sure earned your $15.00 that hour, you FUCKCKCCKCKCKCK
(that's a sentence I never thought I'd have to type).
It's a sentence I'm glad you haven't had to type until now... and hopefully not again for many more years.

OH MY FUCK this reads like a red carpet review.
I'd imagine LA based writers on the celebrity funeral beat probably don't know any other way to write it up than that.
Also worth noting: Matt and Kim are mentioned by name, no mention of Ben, specifically.
The more I read, the more I'm also brought to the conclusion that there is something going on behind the scenes with the family, etc...but I remind myself, that I still don't know shit, either.
