Maybe the others in the band wouldn’t want to keep doing it.
Well, yah. Its seems odd they would want to stop though. They gonna get a better gig than playing with Grohl in the Foo Fighters?
Ages of members ex Grohl: 53, 62, 51, 53.
I don't think they rush back on the stage as it's poor taste but I bet they continue and get a new drummer.
They very well may, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if any of them stopped. Even Grohl. We have no way of knowing how this affected any of them.

They'll take their time finding a new drummer then theyll be back. Who knows if we will ever hear the truth if Taylor really did ask for less touring. I dont expect Dave or his spokesman to make really any comment on it.
maybe i think taylor hawkins was a bigger part of the foo fighters than he was? i dunno much about their creative process. i know most of my favorite stuff was just grohl by himself, but hawkins seemed like he was almost as much of the face of the band as dave grohl. he was obviously respected in the music world. at this point in his career i wouldn't be surprised if this makes dave grohl want to enjoy his family and step away from the spotlight. maybe i'm wrong and the foos keep playing. maybe i'm wrong, hopefully, grohl brings back 'them crooked vultures'. it just seems like the kind of event that would make a band stop playing.
I guess you read nothing about what has come out the last month then cause it was the exact opposite - Grohl wanting to relentlessly tour and and Taylor wanting out. Nothing about Taylor dying is going to make Grohl not want to be a rock star. Seems like it's all he wants to do.
The most like for like replacement is probably Animal from the Muppets. He'd fit right in culture wise, which is not something you can say for the Glorified Version of an Abbruzzese

everything you are talking about was dave grohl before taylor's death. i have no idea how this is actually going to effect dave grohl, but as a human i would understand him wanting his space after losing his best friend. maybe i'm wrong and being mega-famous is going to be part of his grieving process, but i think at his age and point in his career he wouldn't want to tour. has he spoken publicly at all? i saw pics of him with other musicans at jazzfest, but that's it.
