I really liked "There is Nothing Left to Lose" when it came out. I was 13, but I liked it. I feel like it would hold up, but it's been over 10 years since I last heard any of it.

Agreed, I saw them last night, it felt like at least a third of the show was Dave talking.

I thought it was funny when Grohl posted all those jokes about Nickelback on Twitter, when his own band/songwriting isn't any better. He's definitely a little too sure of himself.

There Is Nothing Left To Lose is the last good one. One By One had way too much filler, but Breakout is on the third record, so it loses points for that.

Leaving the first Camden show, I heard people talking to each other that they'd never seen a show where the frontman talked that much to their audience. Its annoying, sure. They could play 6 or 7 other cooler songs if they didn't drag everything out like they do, but its also kind of refreshing when you see bands where there's zero communication between the audience and whoever's on stage.

I saw Nine Inch Nails last year and I don't think Trent addressed the crowd once. Dave's just the rock n' roll version of The Dude. There are worse things one could be.

As the Foos transitioned from small arena band to stadium band, Dave's on-stage personality changed accordingly, from quietly spoken shy-guy to "OH YEAH!"-shouting Jack Black impersonator.
