After about 10 years of missing out due to illness, exams, being on holiday, ... finally got to see this man & band a month ago. Wow. Hardly ever been blown away that hard by a concert. Just amazing. The extra touch of hearing our opening dance live (Into My Arms) made it even better.
That show was amazing. Is it still Skeleton Tree heavy?
Quite yes. But there was enough variation not to make it too heavy.
Jazmín Esquivel blew my mind just now. Way better than her album. These songs, which in the studio versions are folky and rootsy, were turned into weird sprawling synthpop post-punk things. What a performer.
In terms of saw recently, the last show was in June seeing Midnight Oil in NYC. Great show. As was Paul McCartney a few days before that at MetLife. Marcus King started me off in 2022. They put on a killer show every time.
Next is Pearl Jam, Sea.Hear.Now day one, Trouble No More, and maybe another show before 2023.
Saw Spy Vs Spy and Screaming Jets last night. It was a good show with both bands playing well. Crazy old people crowd though who got very loose yet still enjoying themselves a lot. Sooo many happy faces just enjoying the moment.
