The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Pretty random. We were looking for something to do last Saturday in either Tijuana or San Diego. We saw pretty decent priced tickets for Rod Stewart with Cheap Trick. And voilá. Neither were on my bucket list but Cheap Trick was fun, and Rod Stewart's production was huge (flooring, backing band, dancers, LED screens, the works). The dude is 78 and dancing around better than I can. He was also quite funny.

I saw a really good Brian Jonestown Massacre concert in October. Anton yelled at the crowd a few times but nothing as bad as the meltdowns he’s had during shows in the following weeks. This pathetic moment is from their most recent show when he fired one of his guitar players onstage. Incidents like this have always been part of his act but now he’s off social media and clearly off the wagon after years of reported sobriety. I fear it may be over for the band. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gk9_Lq-xx ... JuZSAyMDIz

It’s sad really as it appears he needs to get help. A few weeks earlier while onstage in Oklahoma he made some ugly comments to the crowd saying something like, “I’m gonna blow you up like the Murrah building.” But hitting someone with a guitar and then running away like a coward is about a weak as it gets. The remaining few shows of the tour were cancelled.

I saw Godspeed You! Black Emperor on Monday for the fourth time. It was a bit surreal, as it was in the town I grew up in, a place I never imagined them coming to, and it's the first time I've recorded a show. They played a bunch of new material that's going to be on an as yet unannounced album that might be out in September.
