This just came up on my e-mail - special one-off show at the Fremantle Arts Centre the day after their Saturday Night Arena show in Perth.

Midnight Oil - One for the Oceans

10 through 1 complete, plus an extra hour.

I think I'm gonna have to double-up here.

You can take Garrett out of politics, but you can’t take the politics out of Garrett, and he worked some potshots into the lyrics of some songs. During Sleep he added the line: And Pauline wants to take your vote away/ What a dopey broad she is — referring to the One Nation leader’s plan to raise the legal voting age.

Then during No Time For Games: Got no time for former prime Tony Abbott’s stupidity/ Got not time for pollution when we can get our energy from the sun.

Cool! I'm looking forward to a week later myself.

Didn't pull the trigger on the 2nd show in the end - financial realities suck dick.

We kinda dropped the ball here on the LAL hey? No biggie, we'll get around to it.

The band sound in very fine voice indeed.

Sorry to hear that, Higgsy.

Songs I want to hear having had a good look at what's been played regularly:
Hercules
Progress
Antarctica
Tin Legs
Warakurna
Sometimes
Put Down That Weapon
Luritja Way
Short Memory

I'll be happy with whatever the damn hell they serve up though.

I've got Ash Grunwald and Birds Of Tokyo as supports. Time to check them both out.

I'm glad it was a killer show, LMS.

I literally only know Beds Are Burning. Where do I go from here?

If you have an hour go through that set list from Hercules down. Or play Species Deceases and Diesel and Dust.

Page 1 or 2 of this thread had a list of ten or Varis made a mix of their first seven albums.

That looks awesome, glad you enjoyed it so much.

They look to be back to something near their best here. Amazing.

Really looking forward to my turn next week.

Joey - check the link on the previous page to grab the mix I did up. Solid stuff.
