It's an awesome interview. As an artist/public figure, with a...checkered background...he's aged remarkably gracefully.

I also think he sees his "crap output" years for what they were, paying less credence (not just in this interview, but elsewhere) to a period from, say 2007-2011, because it looks fairly derivative in retrospect. So to that end, I LOVE when he starts talking about the new album, and how that will be coming from his long focus on movie soundtracks. I love Hesitation Marks, and the EP trilogy that followed has at least several moments of real brilliance. Extremely excited for the next NIN album, whenever we get it.

Its a good interview yeah, specially about how these two became a very tight unit over the years. I still feel NIN output from HM onwards lacked something, i do not want to go back to those EPs at all, and i agree with him that the live setting seems complicated at this point for him.

I love their work on soundtracks.

they seem to be developing a horror movie or project with him. He and Atticus are forming a studio of sorts, to make movies, music and even clothes?

yeah! great pairing. Trent always had a visual snack for horror i mean NIN´s videos in the 90s or even his colabs with David Lynch too.

It still kinda funny that the guy who was doing The Downward Spiral or The Fragile worked for Beats and Apple. Im glad he is out of there.

I've been listening to a lot of NIN and Reznor/Ross score stuff lately. The Challengers soundtrack is juicy.

My four hour Rez/Ross soundtrack playlist goes HARD.

Top two are The Social Network and Watchmen. By volume they have the most pieces that sound good to my ear.

Don't sleep on the soundtracks for Gone Girl, Bones & All, Empire of Light and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo though, they're all stellar.

TMNT and Challengers need more time to settle.

yeah, i really liked Bones And All, felt very different to the other stuff. I also liked Watchmen enough when it came out i should go back to it.

Waves had some very cool stuff too.

TMNT is a must.
