i'm thinking about getting tix to the Marc Maron show. not sure what his standup is like compared to his show
I love his podcast, enjoy his TV show, hate his standup. He is like a vacuum of self-absorption. He's at his best when he's tempered by other personalities. By himself, I find him to be fairly draining. Though I would still probably attend one of his shows, I don't know that I'd love the entire event.
cool, good to know. I was definitely on the fence. I really enjoy his podcast and show, but I can absolutely see how it couldn't translate to a stand-up act that is just him on a stage talking at a crowd. he should do a live podcast type of event, rather than stand up. seems like it'd be cool to watch him interact with someone else on stage
He has some standup specials on Netflix, I think they play more like spoken word than actual comedy. It's more like "An evening with Marc Maron," you know? You should check one of those out.

I thought about going to see Adam Sandler in Aspen but the tickets are too expensive for me to justify.
OMG are you crazy?! Go see Adam Sandler! He never does standup any more.

while you're there you can visit Mary Samsonite
lol
IS he at the belly up?? When is that?
Damn. I see. All but the reserved seats are sold out. Reserved seats are $475.
Could totally be worth it though. Tiny ass venue. Beautiful. Im going to have to put some feelers out to my friends in Aspen for a hook up
They were somewhere between $100 and $200 when I looked. Still more than I'm willing to pay for a concert/show that isn't Kanye. Plus it's like a four-hour drive.
Debating if I should go see Devin Townsend/Gojira/Opeth at Red Rocks. It would be my first show there.
Decided to go for this. Why not? I really want to see a show at Red Rocks. I guess I have a few months to familiarize myself with Opeth now.
You'll love it. Red Rocks is really an incredible experience. At least during show time. Not sure what you will think about the pre show activities scattered throughout. Also, you might hake the hike up to the actual venue. its a lung burner!

I've gone to the venue a few times when there's no show. Do you just mean walking up the ramps/stairs?
