Got a free last minute ticket to see Dan Auerbach and the Easy Eye Sound Revue with Robert Finley and Shannon Shaw with opening band Shannon and the Clams at the Capitol Theatre in Portchester, NY last night.
Auerbach played mostly his new album (may have been every song from it) plus Trouble Weighs a Ton and Goin’ Home from Keep It Hid and then selected songs from his guests’ albums. Excellent show. Also, Dan Auerbach ‘s band was awesome, and he mostly held back and let them shine. Definitely worth checking out if he is coming near you.
Robert Finley was out of this world as a singer. A must see.
saw Gomez last night, best gig I've seen in ages. Everybody got down and sang loud. Still a shit hot live band and the set list was bring it on anniversary and some other choice cuts.
Highlights, Tijuana lady, get myself arrested, shot shot, ping one down, rhythm & blues alibi

Counting Crows, who I absolutely love, are playing Auburn WA (the worst concert venue in the world) and then just outside Portland OR (too far to drive) this year.
If I didn't have kids I would surely go to one of them. But now I have to pass on both. Gotta pick my battles and utilize my time off wisely. Not time off from work, but time off from dad duty. I'm sad.

I don’t have tickets for any upcoming shows currently but there are a few I’m interested in.
I’m inclined to get tix to the Counting Crows & Live tour this summer. The last date is in MN. I’ve seen Live but I’ve never seen Counting Crows, so that could be cool. Also interested in the Smashing Pumpkins tour but I haven’t pulled the trigger on that yet either.
The two bands on the top of my bucket list are The National and Radiohead. I’m 100% in if either of them come to MN.

Back to Counting Crows... their Seattle area show has been on sale for about a week. I’d say only about 15% of the seats have been sold. What do y’all think is most likely to happen?

My wife got a last minute ticket with her gal pals to Breeders earlier this week. She was on the fence about going since I was coming down with hard tooth pain that night, but I insisted that she go. She was unfamiliar with the group apart from Cannonball but came away from the show a fan, and now my tooth doesn't hurt nearly as much. I think she did the right thing.
