I went from never hearing them at the start of the day, to listening to them all afternoon, and now just bought tickets to the concert.

Officially in for Sea Hear Now 2022 without a lineup, which I guess gives me some time to create a wish list.

I have this half-memory of having seen them about 20 years ago, but I'm not sure.

But I definitely saw them last night - they played two improvised sets of about 45-50 minutes a piece, both fantastic.

The first one was amazing all the way through, the second one took a while to head somewhere really interesting but the last 15 minutes or so was just incredible.

Things are picking up:

Marcus King Band 3/5 in Port Chester
Paul McCartney 6/16 in East Rutherford
Dave Matthews Band 6/28(?) at Jones Beach (my wife’s friend got the tickets- haven’t seen them in 12 years)
Sea Hear Now in Asbury Park 9/17 & 9/18

Still waffling a little on The Who - MSG is out because I will be out of town, but if someone twisted my arm I’d go to Bethel Woods two days later. Also now praying the rescheduled Pearl Jam dates are not May 22-26 in NYC.

I haven't been to a real big concert since like... 2002 pearl jam, and am seeing Tool next month. On Facebook, I see all these people commenting about their Tool show experiences this tour, saying it's mind-blowing, life-changing, stuff like that. I simply don't understand this. I mean, how much different can it really be than just listening to their recordings? I get crowd vibe talk and all that, but, assuming you're not on drugs, not really.. i guess... I guess we'll see

What I'm trying to say is as much as I love Tool, I was still reluctant to buy tickets cause I don't really see the point. Maybe I will soon.
