RATM tomorrow night John Mulaney Thursday Pitchfork Fest Friday with the boy (the National) Pitchfork Fest Saturday with the girl
The vids I watched of RATM at Alpine were awesome.
I'm watching the Alpine gig now while working. I'd give my left nut to go to a Rage concert
yeah, i'm looking forward to it. i'm sure there will be an overabundance of upper-middle-class, mid-40's white dudes at the show. not the crowd they played to 25 years ago.

Probably precisely the crowd they played before 25 years ago, only they too are 25 years older.

My youngest son and I are going on a rock n roll road trip tomorrow.
Aug 10 - Buffalo - Def Leppard/Crue/Poison/Joan Jett Aug 11 - Buffalo - Metallica Aug 12 or 13 - not a show, but visiting the Rock Hall Aug 14 - Pittsburgh - Metallica
I saw Def Leppard once 20 years ago. It was a festival. I didn’t care at all. Really looking forward to Hysteria and Love Bites now. Saw the Crue several years ago. Ugh. Saw Poison in a club and Ratt opened for them. Ratt was awesome. Joan Jett I haven’t officially seen, tho she did join the foo fighters at De Luna in 2012 for a song or two.
Metallica I saw with a friend on the Death Magnetic tour. I wasn’t a big fan then but loved All Nightmare Long and thought I should see them once. My son plays guitar and is obsessed with them. I am so fucking excited to be able to take him to see them. Hopefully this is a seminal moment in both of our lives.

9/11 - Pearl Jam 9/17 - Sea.Hear.Now Day One (Dogs in a Pile, Celisse, Billy Strings, Gary Clark Jr., My Morning Jacket, Stevie Nicks) 11/11 - Trouble No More (Allman Brothers tribute) March/April 2023: Bruce Springsteen (holding 2 shows at the moment, may try to sell off one eventually)
Considering at the moment: Get the Led Out on 11/5; minuscule chance at Phil Lesh and Friends 10/14 or 15.
