Today when I went to pick up my morning coffee the barista had a stack of giveaway GA tickets for the Fleet Foxes show downtown. So, I guess I’m going to see Fleet Foxes tonight.
I saw them at a festival in 2009 and it was not the right environment. Hope it is a good show for you.

man, i totally dig the Fleet Foxes, but i guess that comes as no surprise since i get mercilessly bashed for liking FJM too.
nothing better than sitting outside on the stoop on a nice saturday evening, drinking a cold one and maybe grilling some burgers, and listening to some Fleet Foxes.
but agreed, i don't really care to see them in concert.
what size venues are they playing? i'm imagining just my local watering hole in between open mic nights
They actually packed the place, and Sherman is pretty decently sized
It was a really good show as well.. I was saying in the stp thread, I wonder the % of people in attendance that didn't know Scott even died and that wasn't him

Back to Counting Crows... their Seattle area show has been on sale for about a week. I’d say only about 15% of the seats have been sold. What do y’all think is most likely to happen?
Cancel show Smaller venue Ticket prices drop Nothing
I know many of you are dying to find out what happened here...
The tix I wanted started at $100 each plus fees. I just grabbed better seats than I originally planned for at $65 each plus fees.

My wife and I went with my brother and his wife to see Mary Coughlan play last night. Just her, a lead guitarist and upright bass player. She was simply amazing.
It was a small hall, perhaps 250 people there, everyone had a seat, and that voice... Wow.
I'm a bit shocked that she didn't play a bigger venue though, but they did a terrible job of getting the info out that she was even in town it seems. Regardless, she deserves to be heard by so many more.
Great songs, great stories. She's certainly lived a life.
Tomorrow night outside ampitheater in Vail. I just looked up their setlists and was shocked they play a bunch of zeppelin. Hot Damn. Now im really excited!
Eaux Claires IV is next weekend. Literally no advance information has been made available. No lineup. No schedule. No logistical stuff. At first that approach seemed kinda cool, now it's annoying. I want to be more excited. I would not be shocked if there's like ~300 people there and it's just Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner laptop jamming for two days.
