Marcus King Band on March 8th at the Capitol Theatre. First show of 2019.
This was a fantastic show. Shocking that he’s just 22 years old. Highly recommended when he comes in your area. Dude has been making a name for himself, selling out the bar/side venue Garcia’s in minutes then selling out the larger Capitol Theatre for the Friday night show. Will be playing at Brooklyn Bowl in June but 2/3 nights are already sold out.
Last time I saw them was 7th son tour. Was planning on buying tickets but my cousin got his brother, my brother , himself and me tickets for free.
While I’m not huge on metal (scorps, priest and IM are about it) I can’t imagine a finer voice than Bruce’s
All the bands I grew up on are getting so old. I almost feel compelled to see them one last time while they're still alice, as long as the tickets are reasonably priced. Yeah, that's a shot at the Stones. So seeing The Who and Bryan Ferry in the fall.

i hear you. its why i skipped out on KISS even though 8-15 year old me really really wanted to go. not only are they expensive (tshirts were going for $50 im told) but the thought of making Gene any more money while he fucks peter and ace over isnt high on my list of things to throw money at
i did go see the stones a few years ago. its the stones and a huge piece of history so the $110 for the ticket was worth it. then i found out PJ was the opening act and it was a no brainer

Don't be such old men. Go see newer bands too. You never know what you might find and like.

I have tickets for Rival Sons, Ocean Alley, Sticky Fingers, Twenty One Pilots and Gary Clarke Jr. All are four or fewer albums into their careers. I admit as I get older I find it harder to find new bands that I like. Now get off my lawn.

Gary Clarke Jr. should be great. Someone just tried to talk me into a Tweny One Pilots concert the other day. I was successful in avoiding it.

That one is really for my son. His band recently went to a two piece and thought he should see how a two piece puts on a show. I will like a handful of songs. Pretty psyched for Ocean Alley. They're an Aussie band that makes guitar based music to sway to.

I saw Gary Clark, Jr. last year. The first time I saw him it was awesome. This show would have also been excellent but for some reason the sound was way off - like tuned for playing Madison Square Garden when he was playing a 2,000 capacity theater.
