Caught up on a few albums this week.
Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile - Lotta Sea Lice. Not really into CB although this album has some lovely moments. Need to hear the last two KV albums now. He intrigues me.
St Vincent - MASS. There’s 4-5 solid tracks that I’ll listen to a fair bit. I’ll try to hear more albums of hers.
Steve Earle and the Dukes - So You Wanna Be an Outlaw. I loved his 90s run of albumsup to Jerusalem. Don’t think I’ll play this again.
Destroyer - Ken. Never heard any of his/their stuff. Needs another play. He voice may be a deal breaker though.
Robert Plant - Carry Fire. Tasty indeed. Nice listen that isn’t at all essential.

Please give Strange Mercy a listen when you have the time and you want to dip your toe back in the St. Vincent pool. I'd really love to talk to you about that record.
WIll do, friend. Got a lot of back up at the moment plus some podcast back up.
No rush. Take your time. Just let me know when you do get there. I think we could have some good conversations about that record. Plus, you know, I value your take on things. Even if you hate the record, I still think it will be fun to talk about.

Geez, I haven't been keeping up on posting in this thread, so here's a new release dump:
Last two (probably) Constellation releases for this year, Off World's 2 came out October 6, and Esmerine's Mechanics of Dominion releases today.
Off World - 2
Ambient and exotica influenced electronics
This is pretty cool. Like Brian Eno meets Adult Swim. Thanks!
Glad you liked it. Their debut, 1, came out last year. It was more like a soundtrack to a documentary about extraterrestrials or something - more cinematic in tone. This new one is closer to what I was hoping the project would be like, so I'm enjoying it. It's likely that 3 will be out some time next year.
On another note, I thought I was forgetting to mention something in my last post. I recently had a whim to check out the new Deerhoof album, Mountain Moves, despite not being too fond of their last few releases. It's actually pretty good; it doesn't feel like they're retreading on this one. There's also quite a few guests, a first for them.

Lina Allemano's Titanium Riot are releasing their second album, Squish It!, on November 1, but it's available for streaming and digital purchase on Bandcamp now. Spacey free jazz for trumpet, synth, bass, and drums.
