Man, the new Mount Eerie album is fucking brutal, but good. I dunno how I feel about listening to this. I fully appreciate the cathartic release of art and music when dealing with emotions, but man, I feel like I'm unknowingly reading someone's personal journal.
I felt the same way while listening to it, it is quite great, but fuck

I was soured on Milk Music after their last record, sorry for the bad pun. But fuck their new one Mystic 100s kinda rules folks. Very werid, very inspired and pretty much everything you'd want in a rock record nowadays.
Just gave the new Cold Beat record a shot today. Took a few seconds to get acclimated, but I'm hooked. Great stuff.

A snc post (in the "songs of..." thread) is always to be taken seriously. So goddamn it, I'm taking this seriously.
"The Beast" I'd not heard of before, so of course hadn't been waiting 9 years for new wee beastie bits, but... Great tune. Solid , as every considered snc tune always seems to be. Here though with something extra and cruising too. Nice stuff.
Joan Shelley also never heard before. To be honest this twee, Joanna Newsom-style crap just ain't my thing.
Endless Boogie are the greatest band to ever live. So of course this tune about Kiss' set at the Kite Gig of '74 is totally bonza.
I do love the new album. Nothing unexpected or shocking, but all so, so good.
OK, onto the Nag tune - that one's 100% not my thing. Ow. My ears hurt a bit. No thanks, Nag.
And finaly, last tune as presented by snc, finishing with Gary Wong "setting fire to my loft"...meh. Not much to say.
The upshoot is that Endless Boogie have released an album this year. Go and buy a copy - they rock. ___
Edit - gotta stop the drunk posting. Thanks for the recommends snc. Your stuff is always interesting to check out.

That New Year song sounds great, right up my alley, after a quick search I saw it features a former Silkworm member, nice. I quite dug the Joan Shelley too.
