I've been enjoying the fuck out of them lately, Painted Shut gets better with every listen. I fucking love Frances' voice

Thanks for posting, I love all three of these. Shades of Carla Bozulich, Heartless Bastards, and The Breeders. I'll get one of their albums soon...

I'm by no means an expert on this band, I think I actually listened to them for the first time in one of the 2015 end of the year mixes but I'm hooked now.
They have only 3 albums, but I haven't listened to the first one. The other 2 are fantastic, especially their last one.

Yeah Hop Along are pretty dope. Her voice has that special kind of extra gear that cuts through the music.

This is one of those instances where I had heard their name before, and immediately wrote them off. But yea, her voice is fantastic.

GO SEE THEM LIVE!
We caught them last year or early this year... don't recall.
Anyway, they have great energy and are a joy to watch :) Waitress is my absolute favorite <3

They were touring with Built to Spill this year.
I hate being a South American sometimes.

They played in Hamburg last year and I didn't go. :( I have to convince some friends to listen to them and go with me next time.

I feel like they opened for Dr. Dog when we saw them. Otherwise I probably would have never given them a chance - Frances rubbed me wrong until they played Waitress. I was in love after that song!

Same boat here, have to drive 2 hours to catch any bands that aren't Christian music. University of Virginia is the only draw for any decent music in this area.

After my first listen the album sounds closer to Get Disowned than Painted Shut, which is something I've been suspecting since I heard the singles, that's not really a bad thing, but I probably like them the most when they're at their most explosive and energetic.

I don't think I'll like this better than Painted Shut, which is one of my favorites of the decade, but this is still really fucking good. The closer is probably one of the best songs they've ever done. And I feel like most of these songs will grown on me a lot.

Yeah its good. What did you think of Not Abel? Short song with fadeout. I found myself straining to hear more of the guitar as it drifted away.

That was one of the singles of the album so I had listened to it before.
The fade out was a really weird choice, it's like the song ends when it was supposed to reach its climax.

It has grown on me a lot and I absolutely love it now. Song structures are great, instrumentation is great, lyrics are great.
Somewhere a Judge is super catchy.
