Why do you feel guilty listening to it? I think the album is actually pretty good and has some really strong songs. The downfall was it doesn't sound like previous GnR. I think There Was a Time, Street of Dreams, Catcher In The Rye, Scraped and I.R.S. are all strong songs. I will go back to this album and never feel bad. |

about half this album is top-shelf epic rock if you can deal with the slick squashed production |

Street of Dreams has some great moments, I enjoy that one quite a bit, even if Axl sounds terrible for the most part. Better is good too iirc. |

Axl pretty much always sounds like shit tho. I’ve long felt his voice was the worse part of the band. |

November Rain Piano demo from 86. I didnt realize the song was old/young for the band. Demo'd prior to Appetite release? Fun to imagine axl in tight leather pants and pumped up hair playing this song. |
