I personally thought Axl sounded pretty awful live but he tried his best and Slash was amazing so I highly enjoyed it.
But man I was happy to hear songs like Coma but without Axl at 100% that song just doesnt work at the end
I thought Coma was an odd choice for this tour...it's cool they brought a song like that back that a lot of diehards would jizz all over themselves about but I'm not sure how great it works live

Its an awesome song, but it needs Axl to be able to carry the end and he butchered it

I thought Locomotive or Don't Damn Me would have been a better choice as the song for diehards.

Well, its time to change the name of this thread...the show was awesome.
The band was tight as hell, and of course Slash is great, but im still shocked with Axl. He began being just ok and then it was just mind blowing. He barely stopped all night, and really kicked ass.
It was so nice to see these guys playing like this.

Well the weather last night wasn't great - strong winds and it was raining pretty much during the entire gig. Fortunately Mrs Rangi and I were seated where it was sheltered, but I feel for the poor buggers that were on the field the whole night.
Wolfmother played before GnR took the stage, and were pretty great. Been a fan of these guys for a while and despite the numerous band changes - these guys are still tight and put on a great show.
GnR were around 45 minutes late taking the stage - blaming the weather and stage being slippery, but when they came on - they were tight as from the beginning. Axl definitely has his voice back and Slash and Duff were on fire. There were a few sound issues where we were sitting, but despite these it was a great concert. These guys have certainly aged well
