Enjoyable. I never really knew his age but he’s in the same age group as Mike, Stone, Chris and that group of Seattle kids. The only one out of the bunch he seemed to know personally was Andy Wood. He worked in a bakery with Bruce Pavitt and was in the Fastbacks for a time.
He kinda jumps around in the narrative some but chronologically, I’m to the point where Guns has recorded/ is recording Appetite.

It’s okay. In 1994, I thought Robert Plant was ancient when they did the whole No Quarter thing on MTV. I am only 2 years junior that Robert Plant now. It’s only a matter of time before I start looking like Mama Fratelli.

Quick review of GNR in Vancouver.
Massive venue - indoor football stadium. Tons of open space on the floor and tons of empty seats behind the stage. Honestly I think it’s too big for a concert.
The band slayed. The production, not so much.
Very muddy overall sound mix. It was bad. Thank goodness the guitar solos were clear. Everything else was just this wall of noise a lot of the time. AIC opened and sounded 100x better.
These guys put on amazing performance and anyone who wants to talk shit about Slash can suck it. He was incredible. He WAS the show. Ripping solos on every single song. 3 hours. Amazing. Glad I got to see it even though it is the year 2023.
Crowd was funny, seeing 60 year olds dressed like it was 1989. Lol great time.
Also was fortunate to attend with a certain RMer from Canada who was surprised to learn that I am taller than 5’6” !
