Now there's a polarizing band. I think they're great at what they do. Seems like a bunch of metal purists are bothered that some Swedes who like to play dress-up can rip harder than their fav. band ever could.
I took an artist series Metallica strength class this morning and it worked pretty well, especially the beginning. I was thinking too much about getting the form right in the second half to pay enough attention:
Nothing Else Matters (warm up) Enter Sandman Battery For Whom the Bell Tolls Hit the Lights Live Fuel (live) One (cools down/stretch)
one of my BiL's just sent a pic of his wrist sporting a wristband for the show tonight at Metro. he lives Kansas City, but used to live in Chicago and run social for the Metro.
I need to take my youngest son to the Pittsburgh and Buffalo shows this summer. He was watching streams of the Vegas show last night long after I went to bed.
My favorite Metallica albums are load, AJFA, st anger and lulu. As a teenager I made fun of st anger so much that in the end I realized I liked it, and the documentary is so good. That’s why I liked lulu instantly. It is the opposite of what 99.9% of Metallica fans would want.
I also listen to their classic 80s albums sometimes but it’s not the reason I like Metallica.
