Saw her live last saturday...and she was really good. Really weird at times..with a lot of performance art, but the new songs sounded awesome. And that girl can wail.....some riffs that would make Jack White proud and scared...

Really digging this album. I never listened to her but downloaded it on a whim after seeing it mentioned in the Albums of 2014 thread. Seeing her live Thursday night, will report back.

Really excited for the show Thursday. How did I go 7 years without listening to these guys?
I've been listening to the first album a lot as well as the new one. I feel like I've heard the song Marry Me before.
Guys?
I've loved Annie's unique guitar style for years. She was also in The Polyphonic Spree for a bit in the mid '00's, for the making of The Fragile Army... Def. worth checking out!

and for those who didnt know, she joined Pearl Jam on stage in Dallas for RITFW with Carrie Brownstein of SK and Portlandia fame.... another place Annie has turned up on a few times (Portlandia that is)
Really liking this album so far. After a few listens I'd probably still rank it a close second to "Strange Mercy," which I ultimately think is a better-rounded program of compositions, but I like how relentlessly electric and wild this one is. Almost makes that kooky new hairstyle of hers seem like an astute artistic statement--this music is the sonic equivalent of sticking your wet finger in a power outlet.
How do people feel about "Marry Me" and "Actor" compared to the two recent records?
