Yeah I find CRB to be a little bland personally. This sounds much more promising! Rich and Marc were always such a great duo...I'll never forget seeing TBC in Vegas years ago, and their set was mostly covers. Gov't Mule opened, and Warren joined the band for the Allman Brothers' Dreams...absolutely phenomenal watching those three guys trade licks. A concert moment I'll never forget.

Interesting. Im assuming he has legal rights to play most if not all? Lets get steve gorman in on this

you know, the fact that Gorman and Rich are obviously still cool, and the fact that Rich reached out to Marc and Ed (and had Sven in his band anyway), really sort of goes to show who the real problem was in TBC, in case anyone had any doubt...wasn't Rich playing with Luther too at a show or two coming up or something along those lines?

the only guy from TBC who Chris has even bothered with is Oven Mitts, who never should have been allowed to been on stage with TBC to begin with

You're not kidding. It's just there when I'm listening to it, no hooks or interesting melodies. Weird.

I just got the two newest vinyls in the mail but haven't given them a spin (If you live here and...Anyway you Love) so can't judge on those but I really like Big Moon Ritual and The Magic Door isn't bad either. Not TBCs but not garbage either. The live Betty's Blends LP Box set is damn good. I love the version of Barefoot by the Cherry Tree on that one.

Do you guys think that our chances of seeing TBC together on stage again in any form are totally shot now that Ed has passed? I know MacDougal could fill in just fine like he did the last few tours but that event seemed like it could be something that put the final nail in the coffin. I don't know maybe it could make them (CR) reflect on how they (probably he) needs to get over the bullshit and just get back on the road to play the best music he was ever a part of.

Damn I miss the Crowes. Just wish I could here an epic Morning Song live one more time.

Chris said in a recent interview that he "would sing those songs again someday." But unless he gets over himself in a big way, I don't know if I see Rich or Steve wanting any part of it aside from the money factor. I don't see Ed's passing as a factor at all...Ed hadn't played with the band in 10 years, and despite how much we love Marc and Ed, the band, at least from a business standpoint, is Chris, Rich and Steve.

The shows that the new group did in New York last week got fantastic reviews (some aren't sold on the singer, but I think it just takes time to get used to hearing someone other than Chris sing those songs), and hopefully a spring or summer tour is on the horizon.

I'm just glad these songs are being played again, and I'm so fed up with Chris' fake hippy bullshit that I can honestly say I don't really miss him right now.

Oh, and the new band played MMS the right way, with none of that gospel bullshit in the middle. There wasn't really a big jam in the middle, and the sunrise part was only a minute or so longer than the album version, but still, just to hear that part again played the way it should was a fucking thrill for me.

Hi I know there's a fair few black crowes fans on this board so just wondered if anyone has any of the following shows available?

15 February 1997 - Paradiso - Amsterdam, Holland (reportedly their best show ever!)
09 August 2005 - The Fillmore - San Francisco
10 August 2005 - The Fillmore - San Francisco
11/1/94
12/19/95
2/3/97
8/12/06
9/12/10

Any help would be appreciated thanks. Somebody kindly posted the fillmore shows in the trading section a week ago but the links are already dead.

Thanks I've been looking for that first Paradiso show for ages, any idea where I can find the Fillmore shows? (09 August 2005 is on YouTube but I'm looking for a "proper" version).
