Is this all from one show or a compilation deal?

I am tiring of bands releasing official Live Albums when they release every bootleg of every show anyway...

Im excited to see what kind of sound the Crowes go for with Jackie Greene.

Compilation from the New York run of shows in 2010 that were never released on LBC.com

I don't mind it since they put so many deeper cuts on it. They've done a pretty good job of mixing up their four live albums.

I for one am so excited that the hiatus is over. The funny things is that they are making it back to my area before Pearl Jam while taking a 2 1/2 year break. If you can totally call is a break. I like the CRB stuff and Rich's solo stuff. This vinyl has some many great tracks on it and will sound great on wax. I'm more excited for these upcoming shows than I was for Ed solo a few months back. God I love this band. My girlfriend doesn't get it and thinks Chris Robinson is a shitty vocalist but what the fuck does she know about great rock n roll. ALSO, WHERE THE FUCK IS LUTHER DICKINSON? I loved his slide work and him and Rich seemed to have good chemistry. Oh well, I'm come to expect almost anything with this band. What shows are people catching? I see that most are already sold out.

Sound samples of the new live disc have been up at Amazon for a while now...I'll withhold judgement until I hear the full final product, but if the samples are an indication...yikes

What is bad about them? The mixing quality or the band itself?

Anyone know how the crowes are sounding with Jackie Greene on board yet?

the mix, the production (or lack thereof), it sounds really thin and unimpressive...tinny...and tiny...like a really bad LBC release that has had nothing done to it

My only real complaint is how little there is from the last studio album. I was a pretty big fan of Before the Frost. And why reference a song title in the album title but not include it.

because no one wants to hear Oven Mitts butcher his way through an 18 minute version of that song

I'm fine with it not being on the album, just change the album title.

I agree. I listened to those samples and while they lead me to believe the mix might not be consistent (like most LBC.com shows) they weren't bad exactly. I like the song list but I wanna hear more than just Make Glad from Before the Frost... You would figure they would at least throw I'm not hiding on there.

Just saw these guys at the 9:30 Club in DC last week. This was my 5th time seeing them, and they didn't disappoint. I'm not the biggest Crowes fan, but I thought the show was pretty solid. It was more on the mellow tip, and it was interesting to hear a lot of their "soul" songs sans the soul singers; it gave the songs more of a stripped down feel. Overall, it was also a pretty mellow show, but that was fine with me considering it was a Monday night, and I'm not used to partying on a work night anymore.

I mean, unless you happen to see them openning for someone else or you are going to make your significant other happy, I officially count 5 shows as being a fan.

That being said, I envy you big time. This is one of those bands I've always wanted to see and never got to. I would have killed to see them with Jimmy Page.

I consider myself blessed that I saw Marc/Ed play with this band 4X in 2005-2006

Just so everyone knows the sound on the lps is way better than what those sample clips suggest. It sounds pretty solid. I like what Jackie Green brings live too. Solid guitar player.

Listening to the Terminal show from this tour and it seems they have kicked it up a notch. Perhaps the addition of jackie greene? less of a laid back hippie vibe and some louder geetars. Daddy like.
