The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Gorman's book is a must read, dude has so many great stories and it'll be the one no bullshit book about the Crowes you will ever get, he's the most straight shooter in the band
The fallout between him and Rich in the last 2 years isn't going to be helped by the book (to say nothing of how him and Chris already felt about each other)
Fuck CRB (and CR in general)
To do this with no Gorman and no Ford (given how TMS came to be) is like the ultimate slap in the face to their actual fans...but this tour won't be about the fans, it'll be about playing the radio songs to casual fans looking for a night out of the house
The brotherhood had a good run of a couple pretty decent albums but the last couple sucked
yeah first two were worthy and then they started pushing their luck.
as far as live shows go, i went and saw them after the first album and was absolutely bored out of my skull. there's a big difference between a black crowes jam and a crb jam.

The Black Crowes are dead and long gone, sadly. No amount of nostalgia for their music is going to make me shell out money to see some half-assed version of the band in light of all the “We’ll NEVER play together again” bullshit the Robinson brothers have seen fit to state very publicly since the last split.
For me, they have used up all the goodwill a fan can have, and if they do indeed reunite with hired guns I really won’t care. It’s over for me, and at this point it really feels like they view the band as a piggy bank to dip into when their solo projects need funding. I for one won’t be jerked around by these assholes anymore. Thanks for two decades of great music and incredible shows, but I’m out.

I'm with you, though I did love TMS (and still look forward to the second half of their record later this year). And to be honest, a tour with Chris, Rich, Marc, Sven, Steve and anyone but fucking Oven Mitts on keys would be tempting for me to hit up a single show (and only a single show). But pretty much everything you said is on point. The only thing left to look forward to in terms of the actual Black Crowes is Gorman's book.
