So I'm seeing Jeff Tweedy at the next living room show at the end of April. Any requests or dedications? He does bring his harmonica.
There'd be a mess on the floor if I saw Say You Miss Me.
Ha! My first one of these shows was in 2006, and that was my request.
Oh man. My heart is beating way too fast.
How was it?
pretty amazing. i was so into wilco at the time, it wasn't funny. tweedy was literally a foot in front of me singing it. i still have that recording tucked away somewhere.

any questions you guys want me to ask? he's usually pretty forthcoming about their recording processes, what's down the pike, etc.
one of my favorite stories he told is how he went on vacation with the family in mexico. two cottages away was jay farrar. needless to say, there was quite a bit of awkwardness (they hadn't gotten along in quite some time).
he also tells pretty cool backstage stories about when they open for big bands like the rolling stones and neil young. evidently young is quite the needy and prickly type.

If love to know if there's another Loose Fur/Jim ORourke collaboration in the pipeline.

ha. we ask that every year. he still keeps in touch with o'rourke. he always says never say never. evidently his wife sue (who is always at these things because she organizes the charity) thinks o'rourke is a complete weirdo and creeps her out. so the joke is they haven't collaborated in a decade because of her.

I've heard similar about him. Have hung with the Wilco guys on a couple occasions, they were always super pleasant (though Sansone strikes me as sort of douchey).

I ran into Sansone at City Winery once and thought the same thing.
I have this really clear memory of being backstage. All the band members were just chilling with their friends and road crew, super casual. Sansone was sitting Indian style in a circle of about five girls who looked maybe 18 and super into every word he said.

The Ruling Class is a Loose Fur song.
Great set, Chris. Really curious how the Star Wars stuff translates to an acoustic and vox?
