I'm ready to go with "fantastic album." Not a dull song in the bunch. I think Soldier Child and Evicted are the two most derivative of prior works, but they're still fun, and the latter is the only one that feels like it belongs on Cruel Country.

Levee, Sunlight Ends, A Bowl and a Pudding, and Cousin all go right into the canon with their strongest material, and all the other tracks are super effective for me. Awesome listen top-to-bottom, though I still think the sequencing could be improved a bit.

I finally listen to yankee hotel foxtrot. I remember all the fuzz when it came out, some critics saying it was the Kid A version of this band.

well, turns out there are a lot of bands i never paid attention to. Wilco is one of them. I also dont see myself going trough the whole catalogue.
