^^ Yep, happy days. Should be a bit of fun.
And Bonnie - I wrote it off the cuff and don't have a copy, but it referenced his ability to generate such raw emotion so simply, and the strength of the love between brothers. ___
So recently this band, Bad//Dreems, did a JJJ Like a Version, covering one of my fave Oz tracks, the magnificent Black Fella, White Fella. They did such a great job of it that I've looked into them more and I have to say I'm really enjoying what I'm hearing. Punky but smart, angry but controlled, musically interesting with a singer whose voice I really enjoy.
Here they are doing Johnny Irony, the opening track off their excellent 2017 album 'Gutful'. Check it:
It is a disgrace that this song has less than 5,000 views on youtube. It's a ripper.

Georgia Maq from my beloved Camp Cope has dropped a solo album out of the blue. I've listened a few times and it's nice enough, but nothing particularly amazing I guess. I always want my Georgia Maq a little more unhinged than mellow I guess? Not to say there isn't some good stuff though, as evidenced by first track here "Away From Love":

Little less good - they are only east coasting it. I may just have to make the trek anyway I feel.
Edit: Ah, who am I fucking kidding here? A quick check on flights shows there's no way I can do it for under a grand, two if the wiffey comes, plus 12 hours in the air and 2 days lost work. This ain't gonna happen.

Nah, I appreciate the heads up. These guys are my No. 1 want to see, but can't justify the expense this year.
