Easily the most anticipated soundtrack of the year.
While I wasn't a big fan of the Sandy or SNL performances, if you close your eyes and pretend it's not Paul McCartney, Cut me some Slack is pretty cool.

What a dumb thing to type.
I think what southp might be trying to say is that what McCartney contributes to the songs is pretty underwhelming for someone of his stature. Those lazy clichéd lyrics may not be such a let down from a lesser musical talent.

You see, not so dumb afterall.
Knowing that it's Paul McCartney can influence your appreciation of a song (positively or negatively), and when I just heard the song on the radio without thinking about it too much, I really like the track.

I've only heard Cut Me Some Slack, but these ones have peaked my interest most:
"You Can't Fix This" – Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Rami Jaffee, and Stevie Nicks "Centipede" – Goss, Grohl, Johannes, and Joshua Homme "A Trick with No Sleeve" – Grohl, Homme, and Johannes "Mantra" – Grohl, Homme, and Trent Reznor

Unless, of course, he thought about for a nanosecond and realized it was Paul McCartney. OMG Paul McCartney!!! Nooooooo...
To be honest, I haven't even heard the song, so I'm unqualified to judge. But if you really like the track, how can McCartney make you not like the track?

Maybe if someone really just disliked Paul McCartney in general cause he has had amputee sex.

Well that says it all. Come back when you have something constructive to add rather than simply calling someone's opinion "dumb".
I'm a Beatles and Nirvana fan, however in the context of this song (if you care to listen to it), it's distracting to think that this is Paul McCartney trying to fill Cobain's shoes. If you ignore that it's McCartney extended beyond his current comfort zone, then the song is quite good. However when you think about this 70-yr-old Angela Lansbury-look-alike belting out a heavy rocker, I find it laughable...
