This album gets better with age. Also not as depressing as I first felt it was.

oh man!

looks like they just released that today and Paul Thomas Anderson did the project.
I would love if they gave us some more this way and then some quality audio of it.

Takes on a much more In Rainbows feel when stripped

I've had this back in rotation for a bit, and it certainly seems to be a bit of a grower. I still like the piano-driven songs the most: "Daydreaming," "Glass Eyes," and "True Love Waits" are probably my top three on the album. I'm also pretty keen on the two songs built around "exotic" acoustic guitar riffs: "Desert Island Disk" with a bit of an eastern feel and "Present Tense" being a bit bossa nova.

Other the other hand, I'm still not a fan of "Ful Stop," I feel like I should like "Identikit" more than I do, and I still think "Tinker Tailor..." sounds like a hodgepodge of other songs (parts of "The Gloaming," "Pyramid Song," and "Dollars & Cents" all mixed together).

This always felt like more of a Fall/Winter album to me

Where's the deluxe? I've basically held out to listen to this thing until I got the deluxe.

The website now says shipping from the last week in September. So maybe next week maybe not.

It'll be like Christmas in January when it arrives.

Sounds like the special editions are shipping out now according to their Facebook page. I didn't order it, but curious to learn more about these two "bonus songs"....

"Ill Wind" is the other song on the bonus disc. This could have easily been on the album and it really makes me wonder how many more great songs they have that no one has heard.

Lots, actually. I think they sit on them and then revisit the ones they like when it comes time to make a new album. I was hoping for "Lift", but it seems like that might not ever happen.

Yeah it's nuts to see how their songs really progress over the years. True Love Waits, Reckoner... Apparently Burn The Witch was back from the Hail To The Thief era
