Went to see these guys on friday, huge stadium show and it was full. Very interesting show actually, the band seemed to be jamming all the time and the crowd was somewhat cold, specially for a being a local crowd.
Maybe it was that they played very little from BSSM ( Suck My Kiss, I Could Have Lied and Give it Away, Soul To Squeeze), maybe they played a little too much of By The Way not sure.
Frusciante is amazing and it was so fucking cool to see these guys again.

This is the setlist i got, AMD, Soul To Squeeze, PU, Right on Time, THW, Suck My Kiss and I Could have Lied were all the best parts of the show for me. Best thing it was that it felt like a very long jam, but it also kinda killed the energy with the crowd.
Like i said, John was absolutely insane.
Intro Jam Can't Stop The Zephyr Song Dani California Aquatic Mouth Dance Throw Away Your Television Eddie Soul to Squeeze Parallel Universe Terrapin (Syd Barrett cover) (John Frusciante solo) Strip My Mind Right on Time (with The Clash's "London Calling" intro) The Heavy Wing Suck My Kiss Californication What Is Soul? (Funkadelic cover) (Jam) Black Summer By the Way Encore: I Could Have Lied Give It Away

i love black summer...the guitars reminds me of BSSM, something closer to Soul To Squeeze. And it was really fun to hear it live, the chorus is pretty cool.
Wish i got These Are The Ways, thats my favorite from UL.

yeah, this was my third show with John, and while i would have loved to see them on the One Hot Minute tour, this is the definitive RHCP lineup for sure.

The Heavy Wing was always one of my favs when UL came out, but after seeing it live and being blown away i went back for the studio version and damn what a jam.

guys, im curious if you have a favorite John solo release.
I used to be obsessed with his solo albums in 99, specially when he released ¨To record only water for then days¨ but then, i think because both By The Way and SA weren my thing, i completely forgot about his solo albums.
