I'm listening to The Getaway and it's not nearly as bad as Trag would lead us to believe. I actually quite like Josh's playing and his backing vocals are immense.

Yeah, this one is good. Lots to unpack.
- I really like how funky it sounds and at the same time, relaxed. Mix between UL and Californication. It has that chillness UL have and that teeth Californication have.
- I really like what Anthony is doing, but sometimes in the verses he gets a little bland and reminds me of By the Way or SA.
- The bridge is interesting. I was expecting a solo or something.
-I really really like the chorus, those guitars are tasty

yeah, its not a bad album. Its weird, it has DM all over it, and it kinda fails at being exiting. But there are many good songs there i like Dark Necessities and Detroit a lot.
Im happy that this new phase with John seems to be a continuation of Californication instead of By The Way. They have more teeth and groove and the guitar sounds and riffs are great

yeah, it didnt help with the groove of these guys. Also it has all this different sounds but they all sound polish and poppy.
UL sounds so fucking good tough...it made me revisit Rick Rubin in a big way. I hope i can find that Shangri La series he did for Showtime a few years ago.
