Hey quick question, are the Gorillaz characters supposed to be monkeys?

I would also like to know the answer to this.

No you imbecile. 2D, Noodle and Russel all look vaguely simian. I was wondering if that was just a quirky design choice or if, in the diegesis of their fictional world, they were meant to be humanoid monkeys. You stupid goddamn idiot.

THEY ARE CALLED GORILLAZ DIPSHIT.

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? THE ART OR THE MUSIC OR BOTH?

YEAH I KNOW THEY ARE. But they look as human as they do simian, and Murdoc some kind of demonic green-skinned human, and there are actual non-talking monkeys in their world (as seen on several music videos), and Russell is supposed to be a hoodlum from the Bronx and Noodle is supposed to be a little Japanese girl. There is no mention of them being monkeys in their backstory. I'm actually leaning towards the vaguely simian features being a quirky design choice and not part of the conceit.

90% of it is his voice and singing. Just the worst.

A lot of the songs sound better in the context of the album.

I'm not sure where I sit with this one so far. It's like Daft Punk meets Gorillaz almost. Not what I was expecting and some of it's actually good. Some of it though...maybe I just want another Clint Eastwood or Feel Good, Inc.

Their new album was fucking terrible. I remember listening to it and when I saw it was finally up to track 18, I was relieved that the next one was only 9 seconds long. And then Hallelujah Money was up next, and that's when I realized I listened to an entire album with no good songs on it.

Hallelujah Money might be the best song. It's pretty tight.

I heard a new track of their's the other day and it caught my attention. If I recall I thought it was a bit different for them, but good.
