Man, that rules, though I’m glad to hear Robert state in the interview they’re already booking shows all over the world for next year (and going into the studio next month!)
Intrigued by what the set will be like at Meltdown, which he discusses too. They already committed to the Hyde Park show being the only European Cure show this year so Meltdown will be a Cure show that’s not a traditional Cure show, some RS solo stuff, some special guests, some material they’d never usually play, etc. He said the Hyde Park show is the “celebratory” 40th anniversary show, while Meltdown will be the “weird” one. Sounds great.

This is really exciting!
Some of those remixes on the second disc are fantastic and have never been released on CD or digitally, only as vinyl b-sides, and I'm very interested to see what the new remixes by Robert are like on the third disc, even if they only end up being weird curious.
There's also a Record Store Day reissue of Mixed Up, as well as a standalone vinyl release of the third disc of new mixes:

In a classic case of Robert Smith over-promising and under-delivering, this was a relatively standard Cure set with no special guests, no solo performances, and barring one barely notable exception, consisting only of songs they played on the last tour:
Quote:
Three Imaginary Boys At Night Other Voices A Strange Day Bananafishbones A Night Like This Like Cockatoos Pictures of You High Jupiter Crash 39 Us or Them It's Over It Can Never Be The Same
(encore break)
Step Into the Light The Hungry Ghost alt.end The Last Day of Summer Want From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea Disintegration If Only Tonight We Could Sleep Sinking Shake Dog Shake One Hundred Years Primary A Forest Boys Don't Cry
It's a cool set, but nothing hugely out of the ordinary.
The Cure to enter Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Roxy Music, Radiohead and more
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2019 will include one of the titans of alternative rock: The Cure, the dark-pop juggernaut that just celebrated its 40th anniversary and next year will be inducted alongside Roxy Music, Janet Jackson, Radiohead and more.
...
Judging by the members listed on The Cure’s page on the Rock Hall website, Smith will be inducted alongside current bandmates Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums) and Roger O’Donnell (keyboards), as well as co-founder Lol Tolhurst (drums and keyboards), former guitarists Porl Thompson and Perry Bamonte, former bassist Michael Dempsey and former drummer Boris Williams.
I couldn't care less about the RRHoF (and I suspect the band feel the same) but I'll flip out if we finally get to see another performance with Boris on drums.
