only thread i could find was when ric ocasek passed

my friends older brother introduced me to the cars back in 83-84ish with candy-o

its safe to say there is a small percentage of people in my age bracket who do not associate moving in stereo with Phoebe Cates

drive may be one of the more underrated ballads from the 80s (here it is from Live Aid in 85)

few bands back in that time could get by with equally good lead singers (for the most part i didnt even know benjamin orr sang the songs he did). watching ben above i cant tell if he is just that fucking cool and intune with himself or if it is drugs

the bangers they put out is astonishing

You might think
lets go
since youre gone
all mixed up
good times roll
my best friends girl
dangerous type
Don't cha stop
youre all ive got tonight
magic
tonight she comes
just what i needed

so easy to listen to and enjoy

The first 40 seconds or so of Moving in Stereo is one of the most definitive openings in my music fandom. I remember my dad listening to this record on his hi-fi.

I should look into them, "Drive" is one of my favourite 80s synth ballads
