yeah, Shangri La is really good. It took a long time to see it.

LV will get there, maybe in 10 years.

It took me a long time too, but when it finally revealed itself to me it was a game changer. It’s easily one of the 90s most under appreciated albums.

probably bc it came out in 2001, ya dingus

Ok, one of the eras most under appreciated albums.

No, he said he hasn’t given it a real chance. I’ve listened to No.4 hundreds of times. And it has some of STP’s absolute best songs. Glide and Atlanta are right up there with the best of STP. But No.4 is really uneven. It has those highs, but it it riddled with lesser songs and bad production. It’s still a solid album, but I think it clearly the weakest of the first 5.

I love the production and Glide is the weakest track (though there are no bad songs).

There are some terrible songs on #4. Same with Shangri La.

Purple is the only true top to bottom album

Purple
Tiny Music
Core
Shangri La
#4
STP

Outside of the worthless non-songs "Wet My Bed" and "Press Play", I'm not sure there's a bad track on the first four albums. There are some real pieces of shit on Shangri, though.

Sure, sounds like fun. I feel confident in the top 5, everything after is my best estimate, but they would probably get shuffled around a little depending on the day.

Sex & Violence
Regeneration
Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart
Pretty Penny
Too Cool Queenie
Long Way Home
Down
Big Bang Baby
Sour Girl
Art School Girl
Unglued
Big Empty
Days of the Week
Coma
Transmission From a Lonely Room
Bi-Polar Bear
Vaseline
Kitchenware & Candybars

First up SilverGun Superman is nowhere to be seen. That should easily be a top 5 contender

i haven't listened to STP enough in my life (other than No. 4) to feel in any way confident about making a Top 20 list

There’s only a few songs on your list that I’m not into. I generally love STP. They might be my third favorite band of all time.
