Great Purple Tiny Music No. 4 Shangri-La
Good Core
Whatever S/T
This looks right.
Flip flop Core and No.4
And then move No4 to whatever and done.
A lot of No.4 is in “whatever” territory but Atlanta, Glide, Down, and Sour Girl are all great songs. No album with four great songs goes below the “good” category for me.
don't know if I would go that far but I coincidently am just listening to that album and marvellong over how brave scott's lyrics are. down and sour girl in particular. so vulnerable and so depressing.

I Got You is fucking brutal, especially after his death.

This is the way I feel about Shangri La.
I think these showcase different types of vulnerabity. Shangri is honest, mature and laregly depressive in nature. No.4 is much more alienating and sardonic in nature. On songs like Down and Sour Girl Scott embraces a variety òf patheic and insidious characteristics.
