Random show announcement today:

The Dave Matthews Band is returning to the south. According to The Warehouse, DMB will play Sat 4/6/13 at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, AL and Sat 4/27/13 Snowden Grove Amphitheatre in Southaven,MS. If you are wondering why there is a 21 day gap between the shows, no, they're not walking to Mississippi. There have been rumors of other stops, like in cities that are big, and easy, and known for jazz, and fests, so don't be shocked if there are more announcements. But for now Mississippi gets their first show in over 15 years, so the deep south fans will finally have a reasonable drive to see a show!

Very unPJesque move.

They are from the South, unlike PJ

that tour list doesn't seem all that different from last year. almost the same towns in the same order.

GO MISSISSIPPI!

not that the last two shows were 2-night venue stands, but if 2-nighters look like this this year it'd be hard to be disappointed by the variety. very surprised there wasn't more emphasis on the new album songs.

Yeah I gotta say I was pretty happy with the sets (on paper, no tapes yet), really looking forward to this weekend. I was also reminded to not venture into any real DMB related threads over at ants.

I'm no DMB fan but I think "What Would You Say?" is a really fun single.

they banned me there for "Trolling/not participating in threads." which doesn't even make sense. one moderator ragged on some dude from europe for his spelling of "organisation" saying if he wants to be taken seriously he should spell it right. i asked if he took his foot out of his mouth yet. i guess they don't like mod sass. i really don't like the site but there isn't a real good alternative (that i know of).

yeah, i still enjoy hearing it. of their staple hits i take it over ants marching and tripping billies, easily.

Eh, I love Ants Marching but WWYS and Billies are always great to hear.

The modship seems to waver heavily on how they feel; there really doesn't seem to be much reason to pipe in so I just read and tend to be involved elsewhere. And no, all the other fledgeling boards were quite short lived.

Listening to the AFTW DVD ( Shotgun ) and I know I'm going to enjoy this weekend on many fronts.

wow, i could jerk off to that last set list. if i ever hear warehouse in an encore, watch out.

i generally think dmb does a terrible job of releasing singles. 'tripping billies' was probably the last one i really liked.

strong shows continue. spac usually gets some of the higher rated setlists on tour, and no reason to think these won't be near the top by the end. they even got a rare double encore. by all accounts, the band is playing well. only thing still surprising to me is the lack of away from the world each night. tours for their worst albums featured 7-9 songs per night, and now they put out a great album and then only play 3-4 a night.
